Meet Matt, A Travel Nurse Account Manager

Meet Matt Heine! Matt came to LeaderStat with over 6 years of experience in the Healthcare Staffing/Recruiting Industry and is a Travel Nurse Account Manager based in our South Carolina office. We recently sat down with Matt to ask him some questions about his position and working with LeaderStat.

1. How long have you been with LeaderStat?

I started with Leaderstat on June 10, 2019.  I relocated from my hometown of Columbus, Ohio to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. I love living near the beach and the amazing golf courses in the area.

2. Tell us a bit about your current position and your primary responsibilities.

I am the account manager for the Travel Nurse Ohio market.  My job responsibilities include creating and nurturing relationships with hiring managers at acute care facilities across Ohio.  I screen candidates to help the recruiters qualify them and explain the positions.  I also have a major role in business development in Ohio and travel to facilities to create new business relationships. 

3. What does your typical day look like?

As an account manager that is always involved with supporting the recruiters, my days never look the same.  Some days I am on the phone with candidates all day and others I spend talking with clients.  I spend time updating resumes and submitting candidates to positions.  I also watch the job boards throughout the day to place pipeline candidates in their perfect position.

4. What do you love most about your job? 

I love creating relationships with candidates and clients, connecting with them and finding the perfect fit for both.

5. What do you enjoy least?

That I don’t have enough time in the day to get everything done!

6. Tell us about a great experience you have had in this role.

Meeting with a large potential client!  I built a relationship with a contact who became a friend and was given the opportunity to meet with their team to potentially partner up.  The meeting went well and we are in process of finalizing the account.

7. Tell us about your favorite movie or tv series and something you love to do on the weekends.

My favorite TV series is Breaking Bad and I love to golf, workout and explore Charleston on the weekends!
