Job Duties 

• Plan and administer prescribed PT treatment programs; help restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following illness, stroke, surgery, disease, or injury? 

• Evaluate, develop appropriate treatment goals, and methods, implements the physical therapy treatment plan and completes all related documentation and record keeping regarding these services 

• Provide therapeutic techniques focused on improving gait, ambulation, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, posture control, sensory awareness, sitting and standing skills, balance and orientation 

• Design and fit adaptive devices, and trains patients in the use of adaptive devices including canes, orthotics, and prosthetics? 

• Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment as necessary 

• Collaborates with all members of the rehabilitation team to adjust plan of care as necessary 

 
Qualifications 

• At least two years of experience, preferably in a VA and outpatient setting  

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Missouri

• Completion of the National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapists 

• Demonstrated competencies in therapeutic techniques 

• Up-to-date clinical compliance, including: 

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR via American Heart Association (AHA) 

• Two-step TB test 

• Physical exam within the last 12 months
