Meet Anthony, Recruiting Manager

Anthony Gamache is the Recruiting Manager in the Scottsdale, Arizona office. He's the ultimate team player and never forgets a name. (Seriously, he remembers the names of everyone he speaks with. It's amazing.) Anthony is our employee spotlight for this blog post. Enjoy!

1. How long have you been with LeaderStat?
10 adventure-filled years :)

2. What is your position now and what are your primary responsibilities?
Recruiting Manager.  I’m like a player/coach on the contingent recruiting team. I manage the Arizona recruiters, but am also directly involved in business development, account management, and recruiting for perm placement roles.

3.What does your typical day look like?
Not every day is the same but there’s usually some quick family time in the morning, getting the kids ready for the day (after I have a big cup of coffee, of course).  At the office we have a short meeting to pass along any key client/candidate updates and to set priorities for the day.  The rest of the morning is usually a lot of calls and texts to confirm interviews and hopefully to extend offers also.  I typically work in some type of business development outreach as well.  Lunch is almost always eaten at my desk, while sending out candidate presentations and entering job order forms.  Afternoons include recruiting calls and replying to emails.  Before leaving the office in the evening, I make a list of items to complete for the next day and confirm the schedule on my Outlook calendar.

4. What do you love most about your job?

I love getting a win!  It’s a great feeling to find the right person for the job!  Even more fun is seeing the impact made in that person’s quality of life and also in what they contribute for our senior living/healthcare clients.  When things are working right, everyone is happy: candidates (healthcare leaders), clients (healthcare companies), and also the residents/patients at the communities we serve.

5. What do you enjoy least?

Sometimes even the frustrating things become beneficial learning experiences and can also make the day interesting :)  I’m not a fan of when people make clear commitments and don’t follow through on them though.

6. What is your favorite type of food?

Spicy Buffalo Wings.  A close second would be cioppino or pretty much any seafood soup dish (probably because I’ve never lived near the ocean so eating seafood is always a treat for me).

7.What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends – pre-COVID-19 and during COVID-19?
Pre COVID: cooking, watching and playing sports, and going on little adventures with my wife & kids.  During COVID: cooking, watching sports now that some are back on, camping, and playing games at home with the family.

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions, Anthony! We love having you on the LeaderStat team!
