Resources for CNAs Looking for Professional or Personal Assistance

In an effort to combat hardships endured by CNAs at home and at work, The National Association of Health Care Assistants and the Certified Nursing Assistants for Quality Care are now providing resources for Certified Nursing Assistants! It’s clear that healthcare workers have faced enormous challenges over the past couple of years, and CNAs have often experienced the brunt of these hurdles. Recognizing how CNAs and healthcare organizations could both benefit, these two non-profit organizations have launched the CNA Resource Center as a dedicated site to improving the lives of CNAs with access to several support systems.

CNAs perform incredibly important work in nursing centers, senior living organizations and hospitals, as they assist residents and patients and CNA job duties can be physically and emotionally demanding. Nursing Assistants have always been in-demand in their field, but since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have become even more important to the success of healthcare organizations. However, the mental and physical toll of the pandemic has only worsened difficulties that healthcare workers face.

The Resource Center aims to provide CNAs with assistance and serves as a place where they can turn when they’re experiencing difficulties or are in a crisis. The center offers support to not only help CNAs through any critical needs they may have, but it is also a source of information where they’re able to work towards eliminating future hardships through further education, legal aid, credit solutions, and more.

The Resource Center offers either assistance or answers to questions in areas such as:

  • Public assistance

  • Professional licensure
  • Financial tips and advice
  • Mental Health Services

Searching the internet for several pieces of support can be overwhelming. There are often resources available, but it can be time consuming to find correct information and contacts. The Resource Center understands that this is time and energy that CNAs simply might not have to give. Signing up for The Resource Center is easy. In order to be eligible, CNAs must complete the organization’s intake form and have an active CNA certification in their state that is in good standing. This means CNAs no longer need to spend their time searching the web for the resources and support they need. They can take one step to reach out to The Resource Center and receive assistance in multiple areas. CNAs deserve to have access to the resources they need in order to work and create better lives for themselves and their families.
