4 Common Interim Client Questions and Answers

When your organization is facing a staffing vacancy, it can be stressful. If you’re considering bringing in an interim healthcare worker to fill that critical opening, we know you probably have a lot of questions that need answered before you can make the best decision for your organization. Here are the most commonly asked questions we get from our clients, and the answers that will help you decide if bringing in an interim consultant is the solution you are looking for!

1. How quickly can you provide an interim to our community/facility?

With all interim requests, we review the specific needs of each client, including if the client is open to local or travel candidates. We have a robust network of qualified healthcare workers and many are available for assignments immediately. Our recruiters are skilled at networking and utilizing tools to identify great candidates that match that position. The amount of time it takes to fill a position can vary but we keep you updated on our progress throughout the entire process.

2. What is considered a local candidate vs. a travel candidate?

LeaderStat considers anyone located within 50 miles of a client, a local candidate. Often, when a client needs a candidate immediately, travel candidates are our best option. Because these candidates fall outside a 50-mile radius, they could need accommodations, rental car or flight, and meal per-diem. We let the client decide what works best for them within their organization.

3. What are the next steps once we have decided to move forward with a LeaderStat Interim Consultant?

LeaderStat will provide you our agreement to review. Once the agreement is returned, we can discuss specific interim needs, candidate qualifications desired and other details needed to create a job order for our recruiters. We will then assign you a Client Relationship Manager who will provide updates on our search and present potential candidates for the client to review and interview via phone or video conference, if desired. When the client selects the candidate, we begin working on arrangements for a start date.

4. What’s covered by LeaderStat in terms of credentialing and compliance for an interim candidate?

All of our Interim Consultants are W2 employees. As part of LeaderStat's full onboarding process, our interims are required to complete a background check, finger printing, drug screen, license verification, TB, physical, and CPR certification. These documents are provided to our clients in a compliance package prior to a candidate’s start date. Each state, position, and client company requirements may vary on what is required in the compliance package.
