Specifically, candidates must have a strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care, and federal and state regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement rules. Nurse manager job requirements include excellent written and oral communication skills, a high level of organization, and the ability to motivate and energize nursing staff in day-to-day operations *and *when implementing new programs or requirements.
