    About the Role:

    As the Lead MDS Coordinator, you will oversee the entire MDS process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and state regulations. You will lead a team of MDS coordinators, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care for our residents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and coordinate the MDS (Minimum Data Set) process to ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
    • Supervise and mentor the MDS team to ensure consistent quality and performance.
    • Oversee assessments, care planning, and documentation to reflect the resident’s clinical status and needs accurately.
    • Provide education and guidance to staff on RAI processes, regulatory changes, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care outcomes and reimbursement.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure MDS accuracy and compliance.
    • Stay updated on changes to federal and state regulations related to the MDS process.

    Qualifications:

    • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida (LPN with extensive MDS experience may be considered).
    • Minimum 3–5 years of MDS coordination experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
    • RAC-CT (Resident Assessment Coordinator - Certified) certification preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and RAI guidelines.
    • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, large-scale facility.
