Director of Nursing - LTAC

We are seeking a motivated Director of Nursing for a long-term acute care hospital in the Columbia, Missouri area. The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the organization, development, management, and administration of day to day nursing activities, including supervision of RN, LPN, and patient care technicians. They also assist in cost containment for supplies and staffing; ensuring staff receives adequate training/education to provide competent care to the patients.

The DON will help to implement rules and expectations for the staff; enforce policies and procedures; provide education regarding staffing by acuity; set an example for providing excellent customer service and have the same expectations from the staff. The Director of Nursing works closely with the other departments to ensure great patient care is provided. Creates the staff schedule in a manner that provides adequate staffing and assists in recruitment and retention efforts. The DON will staff when necessary to provide adequate staffing for the patients. Collaborates with hospital leadership to implement best practices across nursing unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Active RN license in Missouri or Compact State Licensure
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a long-term acute care hospital or inpatient rehab
• Three (3) years of progressive management experience in the healthcare industry
• Regulatory knowledge
• Clinical knowledge of ICU / critical care hospital
• Professionalism, Communication, and interpersonal skills
• Computer skills – electronic medical records, Microsoft Office
• Bachelor's degree required, RN license in Missouri or Compact State Licensure

Pay Package Details:
$96,000-$105,000
