    We are searching for a motivated Director of Infection Prevention in an acute care facility in Charleston, SC!



    Charleston, South Carolina, founded in 1670, is one of the oldest and most historic cities in the United States, known for its well-preserved architecture, cobblestone streets, and rich cultural heritage. The city played a significant role in both the American Revolution and Civil War, and its history is showcased in landmarks like Fort Sumter, where the Civil War began, and the elegant plantations dotting the surrounding countryside. Visitors can explore attractions such as the historic district, Waterfront Park, the Battery promenade, and the colorful Rainbow Row, offering a blend of southern charm and deep historical significance

    The Director of Infection Prevention ensures high quality, patient-centered care by coordinating the hospital-wide Infection Prevention Program, which includes surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections, education of staff, and the development of health system policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards that meet regulatory requirements. In collaboration with the Infection Prevention (IP) Committee, the Director of Infection Prevention makes decisions relative to the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections and blood-borne pathogens.
    What qualifications will you need:

     
    • If a Nurse, currently licensed as a registered professional nurse or licensed professional in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation required
    • Certification in Infection Prevention required
    • Bachelor's Degree in Health related field required; Master's Degree in Health related field preferred
    • 5+ years’ experience in a clinical setting required; 5+ years’ experience in infection prevention required
    • 2+ years of leadership experience required
    • Infection Prevention Experience is required and non-negotiable 

    Salary Base: $100K-$140K
