The Director of Nursing (DON/DNS) role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living with Memory Care. Responsible for leading and supervising. This position is ultimately responsible, and accountable, for the nursing care received by residents.

Director of Nursing Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee, BSN preferred
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a clinical supervisory position in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Memory Care.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong ability to connect well with staff and the senior population
  • Ability to team build and use open communication and collaboration with staff and Administrator

Director of Nursing jobs require a candidate who has significant critical care and operations management experience, a strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care, and federal and state regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement rules. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and compassionate leadership qualities are must-haves. Candidates must be able to think critically, and adapt quickly to new situations.
