LeaderStat Premier has been retained by Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland, located in Westminster, MD, to assist in the recruitment of a Chief Executive Officer. Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland, Inc. was formed in November, 2018 to serve as the parent company to Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster and The Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant in Ellicott City.
Would you like to lead two of the premier senior living Life Plan Communities in the Baltimore/D.C. region as they embark on the next phase of their rich history? The successful candidate will join an experienced and engaged leadership team in providing enriching communities for their residents. This is an opportunity that doesn’t present itself often.
Carroll Lutheran Village is a faith based, accredited, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Westminster with approximately 700 residents in 398 homes and apartments, 50 suites in the Diven House for assisted living and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center. Carroll Lutheran Village opened in December 1980 and has a legacy of providing outstanding quality of life for its residents.
The Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant is a faith based not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Ellicott City with 205 apartments, 36 homes, 20 assisted living suites and 12 nursing beds. Opened in February 2016, this beautiful campus is currently home to nearly 375 residents. This community boasts state of the art technology and wonderful amenities for its residents.
Located just outside of Baltimore, and close proximity to Washington D.C. (both named on the US News 2018 Best Places to Live List) the role will allow you to experience the abundant educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities afforded by these top cities, and Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland provides the premier senior living/life plan communities in the region.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to partner with an engaged Board of Trustees and leadership team. The next CEO will continue building best-in-class life enrichment and full-continuum of care programs.
The ideal candidate for the CEO role at Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland:
- A proven leader in senior living
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive executive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality
- Strong relational skills
- Open and transparent communication
- Value LSMMD as a dedicated faith-based organization connected to religious congregations and be respectful of faith communities and of different faiths
- Innovative approaches to aging services
- Strong business acumen
- An undergraduate degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related field is required. A graduate degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration is preferred
