Meet Julie, Director of Recruitment

Meet Julie Osborne! Julie is LeaderStat's awesome Director of Recruitment and leads a team of recruiters in the Ohio and Arizona offices. We asked Julie some questions about her role at LeaderStat as well as some of the things she enjoys doing on the weekend. Check out her interview below.

1. How long have you been with LeaderStat and what was your first position?

It will be 10 years in November and I started as the Associate Director of Recruitment

2. What is your position now and what are your primary responsibilities?

As the Director of Recruitment, I support the Ohio and Arizona offices. I coach and train our recruiters to help them be successful and engage in Business Development activities through attending national and state conventions, speaking engagements, and staying in touch with our current client base.

3. What does your typical day look like?

I work with the recruiters on creative sourcing strategies on tough to fill positions, conduct training sessions on recruitment processes, account manage for key clients, and participate in special projects for LeaderStat.

4. What do you love most about your job?

Without a doubt my staff! They are so wonderful and work so hard! I am very proud of the team we have put together. They are the best!

5. What do you enjoy least?

Too much sitting! In our profession we sit a lot and I need to set reminders to get up and move around!

6. Tell us about a great experience one of your candidates has had.

We have placed several DON’s and Administrators that have been promoted to Regional roles. It feels great when you know you have been able to improve the quality of an organization through our services and improve the candidate's life!

7. If you could give some advice to clients who are looking at using a recruiting firm for the first time, what would it be?

Select a solid partner and stick with them. When you put an opening out to multiple search firms the market starts to question the organization and it throws a red flag to candidates and they get leery to move forward.

8. What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends?

Anything outside! I love to garden and just picked up a new hobby this year of bee keeping!

Thanks for everything you do, Julie!
