We are proud to have a skilled team of professionals on the LeaderStat team and Rachel Grisak is no exception. Rachel is an Executive Search Consultant and we took some time to ask her about her role with LeaderStat.

1.          What is your position and how long have you been with LeaderStat?

I am an Executive Search Consultant and I have been with LeaderStat for 3 years.

2.          What are your primary responsibilities and what are some of the positions you place?

As an Executive Search Consultant, I focus on partnering with clients to fill their critical leadership positions. I am responsible for account development, management and fulfillment of executive level placements.

I work with our Premier (retained) division which is focused on placing those executives that are critical to the organization's success. Some positions that we consult on are CEO, CFO, COO, Vice President level in various oversight and some Director level positions. We also offer leadership solutions such as succession planning, compensation analysis, and proven Interim C-Suite Executives during the transition of key leadership positions.

Through my extensive profiling process, I match candidates to fit organization’s specific needs and culture. I have helped many organizations find the unique leader they were searching for to complement their leadership team.

3.          What do you enjoy most about your job?

Relationship building! I enjoy getting to know the individual on the other side of the phone – both professionally, but also personally (if possible). Who are they outside of work? What is their story? How did they get to be where they are today? I learn so much!  Ultimately, I enjoy partnering with both the clients and the candidates. I have a great sense of pride and satisfaction when I know I found a great match!

4.          Tell us about a great experience one of your candidates has had during the process.

One of my most recent COO placements comes to mind. I developed a great relationship with all members of the senior leadership team and enjoyed consulting with them onsite during interviews. I also developed great relationships with the final candidates, and ultimately placed an extremely qualified operations leader in her dream job. She was very excited to share her expertise to serve others and contribute to the organization’s mission.

6.          If you could give one piece of advice to candidates looking for a new job, what would it be?

Do not only focus on the job requirements and skills. When you are on-site, pay close attention to the culture of the organization and especially who you will report to. It is so important that it is a good culture fit, and that your leader has strong vision and supports your personal and professional development.

7.          Share what you enjoy doing in your spare time and your favorite food.

I love spending time with my family. I am a mother of 3 young boys – they are a lot of fun, but they keep me on my toes! My favorite food is anything Mediterranean.
