If you’ve been hoping for a chance to meet some of our LeaderStat staff, your opportunity has arrived in the form of the 2018 AHCA (American Health Care Association) Annual Conference in San Diego, CA. Two LeaderStat team members will soon be packing their bags to be there from October 7-10. This ACHA/NCHL Conference promises to be the “most relevant, compelling, and value-packed event” in healthcare, and based on the advertised speakers and event schedule, that just might be true.

KEY TO MOTIVATION

This conference offers current healthcare information, networking opportunities, and the strategies and motivation to return to work energized and prepared to create lasting improvements. Not convinced? Among the keynote speakers are Captain Scott Kelly, astronaut and author of Year in Space, whose personal reflections on leadership, teamwork and testing limits inspire his audiences to reach their goals; and Dan Thurmon, president of Motivation Works, who teaches how to achieve peak performance in the workplace.

LEARN BY HEART

If that’s not enough, add in three full days of workshops and educational sessions on topics ranging from dementia care practice regulations, to strategies for increasing staffing stability, to current antibiotic prescribing practices, among many others. The goal is to provide long-term and post-acute care professionals solutions and strategies to save money and time.  Networking opportunities will be everywhere, administrators and nurses can accrue continuing education credit, and don’t forget the Gala Dinner and Show with Kenny Loggins!

However, the most happening place in the convention will be the exhibit hall. Always packed, always bustling, and filled with over 300 vendors who are experts in their healthcare niche, this is where you will find Julie Osborne and Kendra Nicastro. Julie is LeaderStat’s Director of Recruitment, has over twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry, and has worked in multiple organizations specializing in healthcare-focused executive search. She currently directs the classic recruiting teams, located in Columbus, Ohio, and Scottsdale, Arizona, in permanent placement, business development, and client service; and supports the Interim Management team with operational and strategic direction.

Kendra Nicastro, Director of Business Development, oversees marketing and business development for LeaderStat. Kendra has over twenty years of professional experience in the areas of marketing, business development, and sales. Her experience as a nationwide senior-living industry marketing consultant has allowed her to provide marketing support and training to facilities all over the country. Both Kendra and Julie have developed professional relationships with healthcare professionals at all levels of the senior living and post-acute care industries. They look forward to this industry event each year because of the outstanding educational sessions, fantastic speakers, and networking opportunities.
