Eleanor N. Alvarez, BA, MAT, MAgS
President/CEO
President of LeaderStat LLC, Eleanor has more than 27 years of management experience in the long term care field, both as a provider and a consultant. Her areas of expertise include long-term care and sub-acute operations, culture change initiatives, facility analysis and acquisitions, and facility start-ups and program development. Eleanor is a licensed nursing home administrator and has had operational management responsibility for more than 20 facilities. She has opened skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, developed numerous high acuity specialty units and conducted the due diligence process for two large acquisitions for a national LTC company. Eleanor has also leased and operated a nursing center as an independent operator.
As the President of LeaderStat, Eleanor provides consulting and management support to more than 500 long term care clients nationally. Her firm, LeaderStat, LLC, provides a full range of clinical, operational and financial consulting for independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and continuing care retirement communities. Eleanor has conducted comprehensive assessments, market studies, financial improvement strategies, and new product design and implementation programs for senior communities nationwide. In addition to a BA in History from Hobart & William Smith College and an MA in Teaching from Colgate University, she received her Masters of Aging Services from The Erickson School in December of 2008. Eleanor is also proud to serve on the Board of National Church Residences (NCR), a not-for-profit organization.
Anna Dodge
Director of Consulting Services
Joined LeaderStat in March, 2002. Anna oversees all aspects of interim placements including contractual agreements, travel arrangements and overall management of our Consultants. She has over ten years of experience in the long term care consulting field.
Devon Underwood
Director of Recruitment
Joined LeaderStat in May, 2006. Devon leads recruitment teams in permanent placement and supports our planned growth. She is also involved in the field, continuing to work directly with key clients and as a resource for anyone looking for a change in their career. Devon holds a BS in Communication from the University of Arizona. Before joining LeaderStat, she was a recruiter in a National Key Accounts role with an Arizona based company.
Catherine Flemming
Associate Director of Recruitment
Joined LeaderStat in July, 2008. Her primary focus is Assisted Living and Long Term Care executive and nurse management placement in the Midwest region. Catherine holds a BA in Political Science and American Studies from Colby College and an MA in Counseling from Wake Forest University. Before recruiting with the LeaderStat team, Catherine worked as an outpatient therapist for children and families in Winston Salem, NC, as a mentor in a children's home in Jacmel, Haiti and in volunteer recruitment and placement.
Melessa "Petey" Gerke
Recruiter
Joined LeaderStat in July, 2009. Petey manages Assisted Living and Long Term care executive placement for the Great Lakes region, which includes Ohio and Michigan. She has completed HR business courses in addition to Healthcare training, and is currently pursuing a BS in HR Administration from Franklin University. Prior to joining LeaderStat, Petey was a Recruiter for a large retail organization.
Carol Gregory
Recruiter
Joined LeaderStat in November, 2009. Her primary focus is Assisted Living and Long Term Care executive and nurse management placement in the Midwest region. Carol holds a BSB/A from Robert Morris College. Previously, she has recruited Nurses and allied health professionals for a Columbus firm, and before joining the LeaderStat team Carol recruited for an IT consulting company.
Denny Highsmith
Recruiter
Joined LeaderStat in November, 2009. Denny's primary focus is Long Term Care and Assisted Living executive level placement in primarily the Mid-Atlantic region including Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. He holds a BA in Strategic Communication from The Ohio State University. Before joining LeaderStat, Denny spent three and a half years as a technical recruiter for a leading IT consulting firm.
Karen Brown
Office Manager
Joined LeaderStat in April, 2004. Her primary duties include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, payroll, and purchasing. Karen is also assistant to the President/CEO. She holds a BS in Communication from Ohio University and recently received her BS in Accounting from Franklin University.
Katie Neff
Administrative Coordinator
Joined LeaderStat in March, 2008. She assists Anna with Interim placements, travel, and invoices. Katie also assists with administrative duties and works on other projects as needed. She is becoming a certified Travel Agent to better assist our Consultants. Before coming to LeaderStat, Katie was a Human Resources Coordinator who handled compensation and benefits for over 2500 associates.
Amanda Ryal-Mason
IT Coordinator
Joined LeaderStat in August, 2005. She is the webmaster and manages all computer related functions for LeaderStat. She is also involved in ad design. Amanda holds a BS in Information Technology from DeVry University and a BA in Linguistics from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining LeaderStat, she worked as a freelance website designer and IT Consultant.
